Ashdale Honey Brown

Another of Meander River’s Signature Ales, our Honey Brown is special, showcasing estate produced honey. Buckwheat to walnut in colour with a light mocha foam, this beer is exactly that on the nose. Honey, molasses, with a mild mocha aroma; milk chocolate, vanilla and fresh roasted coffee. A buzzing note of cola on the nose is repeated on the palate alongside the sweetness of farm fresh honey, balanced with dark, dried fruits and again, a slight roasted coffee impact. Finishing smooth with low bitterness and a silky, enjoyably cloying finish.

Seeing Double.png

Seeing Double IPA

Not your typical dry DIPA, Seeing Double is a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness. This beer is brewed with 100% Citra hops. On the nose, citrus and tropical fruits rally your senses, and are then doubled up on the palate with an added balancing sweetness and bitterness to keep this beer straight. Although the higher alcohol, Seeing Double is smooth and easy going, with moderate to high impact, just like you after a couple.

Surf and Turf.png

Surf & Turf Scotch Ale

Silver - Atlantic Canadian Beer Awards - Experimental - 2015

From the ocean to the earth, this Scotch ale brings those elements into a great beverage to be enjoyed in either of those places. Surf & Turf is brewed with peat smoked malt and fresh Atlantic Ocean seaweed. The burgundy to mahogany colour, gives off dense toffee and caramel aromatics, with light smokiness. Instead of a mouthful of salt water, this brew balances toffee and caramel flavours with a slight viscosity from the very mild salinity, all with a hint of a distant peat fire. Pleasant and silky on the palate, this brew finishes moderately with low impact.

Plough Man's.png

Plough Man’s Pilsner

Another annual take on a “big brewer” style, but made right here, with love, in our little brewery. Mild soda cracker nose, with light zesty hops, specifically New Zealand Pacific Gem. Clean and dry palate, with refreshing carbonation. Simple. Delicious. Light. Meant to be enjoyed alongside a spread of fresh, local foods, like a Ploughman's Lunch. Local farmer pairings could include: Ciro's cheese, MacDougall Meadows eggs, Bread Gallery breads, Good Clean Farm fresh greens, and Valley Honey Crisp apples.

Lazy Day.png

Lazy Dazy Wheat Ale

This is a refreshing summer sipping Wheat Beer. With billowing foam and hazy, pale golden hue this beer invites you to your first sniff. Cereal, Wheaties, slightly under-ripe banana, and fresh citrus on the nose lead you to the light bodied, juicy grapefruit beer with high, sparkling carbonation. The brew is almost creamy on the palate, finishing dry and refreshing, craving another sip and a cool dip in the river. Made fresh grapefruit and dry-hopped with Citra hops.
